When you’re arranging car insurance cover, insist on getting some of the key components with plenty of choice, including:

  • Protection – comprehensive is best and it should cover you if your car is damaged, written off, or stolen
  • Levels of Cover – does the insurer offer a Standard and Premier level cover
  • Breakdown Cover – it should be included, especially at Premier levels of cover
  • Legal Protection – get yourself at least £100,000 of cover
  • Hire Car – try to get yourself a replacement car for a set period

Don’t be fooled by polices out there that promise the earth, but don’t deliver, you need to satisfy yourself you are properly covered, including:

  • Flexibility – a chance to pick your level of cover
